ACTIVITY AT LAKE EYASI AND DATOGA TRIBE HADZABE TRIBE

Lake Eyasi is a famous soda lake located near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It offers a very different experience from safaris in the national parks of the northern circuit . This place is renowned for being home to the Hadzabe, the last hunter-gatherers of East Africa, whose practices have remained unchanged for over 10,000 years. Besides the Hadzabe, another tribe lives nearby: the Datoga. They are more similar to the Maasai. They practice agriculture and excel in metal working. The shallow, salty waters of the lake also attract numerous birds. Flamingos, weavers, storks, and many other species enjoy the salt water or the shade of the surrounding trees. Dinner and overnight stay at the Lodge.

NGORONGORO CRATER

Rise early after breakfast and descend into the magnificent crater for a game drive with a picnic lunch. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely populated African wildlife reserves in the world and is home to approximately 30,000 animals, including some of Tanzania’s last black rhinos. At 8,300 km², the Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest volcanic caldera and arguably the most spectacular site. Later in the day, drive to the Serengeti for dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

We will head towards the central area of the park, the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, with the Seronera River, a precious water source for this region, attracting wildlife representing most of the Serengeti’s species. Safari in Serengeti National Park.
